Lisa Ellis
Lisa Ellis has served as Chair of Sacred Threads since 2009 and with the help of an extraordinary team has produced 6 biennial exhibits in the Washington D.C. area. She is passionate about using art quilts to improve health care centers and hospitals. She has directed several projects for healing-related installations including Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the University of Michigan, Auburn University, National Institutes of Health and the INOVA Schar Cancer Institutes. She is currently serving on the Art Selection Committee for the INOVA Health Care system in Northern Virginia. She is a former President of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) and serves on the board of the Quilt Alliance.
