Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing for Individuals with FASD Across the Lifespan
Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) is a highly complex disability, and at least 90% of individuals with FASD are thought to experience mental health needs at some point in their lives. In this webinar, we will 1) describe the relevance of FASD within the context of Maine, 2) provide a brief introduction to FASD and related challenges, and 3) share research on the needs, strengths, and resiliencies of individuals with FASD as they relate to mental health. The overarching goal of this webinar is to highlight opportunities for supporting health and wellbeing for individuals with FASD and their families across the lifespan, with special focus on older youth and young adults.
