NYC Book Launch: Vince Passaro presents CRAZY SORROW
In conversation with Kathryn Harrison
Author and contributing editor for Harper’s Magazine Vince Passaro visits the Greenlight (virtual) stage to present his new novel Crazy Sorrow. Spanning four decades in New York City, Crazy Sorrow tells the story of a couple torn apart and the lengths to which they will go to be reunited. Students George and Anna meet in the shadow of the new World Trade Center on July 4, 1976—the weed- and wine-fueled night of the nation’s Bicentennial celebration. In the decades following, throughout the travails of their respective relationships, marriages, parenthood, and their careers, the former lovers wonder what happened to each other. Finally, miraculously, George and Anna reconnect as the new century is beginning, only to discover that history itself will have a say in whether they can stay together. Passaro’s second book is a love letter to his characters and to the city that has shaped them, and Kathryn Harrison (author of Thicker Than Water, The Seal Wife, and others) joins him in conversation.
