Join the Institute for Medicaid Innovation (IMI) for an important webinar on what can be done to address the mass Medicaid eligibility redetermination that will occur once the COVID-19 public health emergency lapses. Joan Alker and Tricia Brooks from the Center for Children and Family at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy will share highlights from their February 2022 report, Millions of Children May Lose Medicaid, which estimates that 6.7 million children are at-risk for becoming uninsured. The authors will identify the ways children lose Medicaid coverage and additional state-specific issues.
The goal of the webinar is to bring together Medicaid stakeholders including policy makers, health plans, providers, and advocates to identify critical steps that can be taken to minimize coverage loss. A panel of cross-sector experts, moderated by Sandra Hassink, MD, MS, FAAP, will explore opportunities to work together to answer the question, “What Can Be Done?”. We hope you will join IMI and participate in this discussion.
