Finance Flows' Sustainable Banking Academy Launch

Recognizing the pivotal role that banks play in creating a sustainable financial system that will facilitate the flow of resources towards a more inclusive and sustainable activities and support low carbon climate-resilient development, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), UN Environment Programme - Finance Inititiative (UNEP-FI), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Association of Development Financing Institutions in the Asia Pacific (ADFIAP) jointly present the Finance Flows’ Sustainable Banking Academy to assist bank professionals in the Asia-Pacific Region to identify and articulate their commitment to sustainable finance and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Banking Academy is a suite of e-learning program consisting of five self-paced, digital courses, which was developed from the Sustainable Finance Training Roadmap for Banks webinar series held from October 2020 to January 2021:
1. Aligning financial flows with sustainable development goals
2. Incorporating sustainability into banks’ governance and culture
3. Measuring and managing E&S impacts and risks
4. Engaging customers, clients, and stakeholders to develop sustainable finance products
5. Sustainability reporting: a critical tool for enhancing corporate transparency and accountability
