The New American Remodel 2023
The New American Remodel: Disjointed Design to Cohesive and Efficient
Originally built in the ‘90s for a special Street of Dreams housing showcase, The New American Remodel 2023 in Winter Park, Fla. came to Phil Kean Design Group as a disjointed, cramped, dark, and outdated home. Its original construction lacked efficient systems and products, creating a home without ideal performance.

Working closely together, both the designer and energy consultant were able to create a home performing nearly 50% better than an average code-built house through a systems-engineering approach. The design is now fit for its homeowners, a young family who dreamt of their own luxury lake house.

In this 45-minute webinar, learn how the two teams did it, their creative solutions to challenges, and takeaways in both design and efficiency.

Learning Objectives:
1. Insights into reworking complicated existing floor plans
2. House-as-a-system concept for retrofitting homes
3. Trending and efficient products and systems for a modern day remodel
