This year, we will be using Zoom to take the AGM online. We will be featuring an all-star line-up of disabled household names in an event which will be hosted by Samantha Renke, actress, presenter, campaigner, Shaw Power List top three influencer, model and polymath. Sessions will feature public Q&A with equalities, personalisation and social care specialist Clenton Farquharson MBE, journalist and author Saba Salman, Shaun Webster MBE, campaigner, Paralympic wheelchair racer, Anne Wafula Strike, and Life Peer and campaigner, Baroness Jane Campbell who will be speaking about the disabled experience during the pandemic, why they do what they do as and for disabled people, what the 25th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act means, and what the next 25 years needs to look like for Disabled people.
We will be sharing the outcomes of our We Belong campaign, and there will be time for you to input comments on the day, before we submit our final report to Government ahead of its forthcoming National Disability Strategy.
