Paul has more than 30 years of experience in construction as both a contractor and an industry thought leader. He serves as editorial director for Modern Trade Communications, publishers of Metal Construction News and Metal Architecture, the leading publications in the metal construction industry. He is responsible for audience delivery and content creation for the magazines and all editorial products at Modern Trade Communications. Paul is an award-winning writer and editor who previously was editorial director of Professional Builder, Professional Remodeler, Custom Builder, Housing Giants and HousingZone.com. He began his writing career at Remodeling magazine where he was editor-in-chief. Brent Schipper, AIA, LEED AP (Principal @ASK Studio) Brent Schipper, AIA, has more than thirty years of experience as a practicing architect. He is a founding principal of ASK Studio, a Midwest-based architecture Studio, which is highly regarded as a design driven atelier. His responsibilities include guidance of the Studio’s design efforts and professional tenets while striving to maintain a midwestern design dialect rooted in a landscape of functional sculptures and organic rhythms bounded by a cartesian grid. The Studio has garnered over 70 design awards and over 90 project features in regional and national publications since its inception in 2006. Brent has served regularly as a guest critic at Iowa State University since 2004, has lectured at the Dunwoody College of Technology on practice and ethics and was recently named a Professor of Practice in Architecture by Iowa State University where he teaches architectural design. Renee Ramey (Executive Director @Metal Roofing Alliance) Longview, WA – Renee Ramey is the Executive Director of The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA). Renee is responsible for the daily management of the MRA's ongoing North American marketing program to increase metal roofing's residential market share. Renee has more than twenty-five years of marketing and management experience in the metals industry. Starting in 1997 with BlueScope, Renee held roles in order management, marketing, sales and project management in support of Steelscape and ASC Profiles. From there, Renee spent three years as Marketing and Human Resources Manager for Cascadia Metals, a regional metals service center located on the west coast. In early 2013, Renee accepted the position of Executive Director for The Metal Roofing Alliance. The combination of industry experience coupled with her years of actively supporting industry organizations makes Renee a valuable asset in the metals industry. Jeff Henry, MBA, CAE (Executive Director @Metal Construction Association) Henry has cultivated a passion and deep respect for associations over his over 35-year career in association management. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE), a title earned by fewer than 5% of association professionals, Henry is a distinguished leader in the association field. Henry currently service as the executive director of the Metal Construction Association. His previous leadership roles include managing director of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), executive director of the Synthetic Roof Underlayment Institute (SRUI) and president of the National Frame Building Association. He also currently serves as the executive director of the International Staple, Nail and Tool Association (ISANTA). Henry earned BBAs in Finance and Real Estate and his MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
