Join the Colorado Cancer Coalition and Cheyenne County Public Health for the launch of the 2021 -2025 Colorado Cancer Plan and the Communities that Care Community Action Plan.
The Colorado Cancer Plan 2021-2025, represents a shared approach to overcoming Colorado's cancer challenges through primary prevention, early detection, effective treatment and support for survivors from the time of diagnosis until the end of life. The Cheyenne County, Communities that Care Community Action Plan represents a community shared approach to addressing youth risks, researching prevention programs, practices and strategies for upstream prevention. This plan helps guide the building of connections for Youth Prevention efforts to provide skill building, leadership opportunities, healthy relationships and promote mental, emotional and social well-being for all. The Cancer Plan has a strong focus on prevention strategies which align with the Communities that Care for development of life long habits for healthy behavior, health promotion and risk prevention strategies that are critical for cancer prevention and overall health and wellness. Aligning state, local and regional efforts with a public health approach will create synergies and greater likelihood of uptake and sustainability and ultimately save the lives of more Coloradans.
