Advancing The Abraham Accords Through Regional Air Defense
President Biden is making his first trip to the Middle East as president, visiting Israel, the West Bank, and Saudi Arabia. A key topic of discussion will be how the United States, Israel, and its Arab partners can develop joint defenses against Iran’s ever expanding, increasingly precise, and lethal arsenals of missiles and drones.

Join Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Senate Armed Services Committee member and Co-Chair of the Senate Abraham Accords Caucus, to discuss the results of the president’s trip, how the United States can continue to broaden and deepen the Abraham Accords, and how JINSA worked with her and the bipartisan Abraham Accords Caucus to develop the "DEFEND Act of 2022," legislation which encourages the creation of an integrated air and missile defense capability to protect the people and territory of U.S. allies in the Middle East and which was inspired by JINSA’s Abraham Accords Project’s 2022 report, “A Stronger and Wider Peace: A U.S. Strategy for Advancing the Abraham Accords."
