The Guide to COIL Virtual Exchange: Writing About a Transforming Pedagogy

During this webinar, book co-editor Jon Rubin will first discuss with chapter co-author Katherine Wimpenny the genesis of COIL Virtual Exchange practice. They will explore the process of writing about COIL during Covid, at a time when COIL was transforming as it was rapidly being adopted by universities around the world; and consider the post-pandemic landscape for COIL and internationalization for all.

Jon Rubin, founder and former director of SUNY’s COIL Center, is director of both COIL Consulting and COIL Connect for Virtual Exchange, a web initiative that supports institutions committed to COIL Virtual Exchange.

Katherine Wimpenny, PhD, MA, DipCOT, Cert Ed, is Professor of Research in Global Education and Theme Lead for Global Learning: Education Without Boundaries, in the Research Centre for Global Learning: Education and Attainment (GLEA), Research Institute of Global Learning, at Coventry University (CU).
