Dans le cadre des « #F4TWebinar », Finance for Tomorrow propose un épisode dédié aux enjeux du capital naturel et de la biodiversité. Alors que les perspectives pour 2020 – la Super année pour la Nature – sont bouleversées, il est toujours plus important de se mobiliser pour soutenir l’ambition du développement du cadre international pour la biodiversité. Devant l’urgence environnementale et désormais face à la crise sanitaire que nous vivons, il est nécessaire de développer des plans concrets, visant un impact positif sur le capital naturel, afin de mobiliser les ressources nécessaires pour protéger le climat, les terres et la biodiversité.

As part of its « Webinar F4T » series, Finance for Tomorrow is organizing an episode on Biodiversity Finance. Even if the political agenda of the “Super Year for Nature” was disturbed, the actors’ mobilisation is more essential than ever to sustain the ambition of the post-2020 international biodiversity framework. Given the environmental urgency and with the health crisis facing us, it is necessary develop effective finance plans with a positive impact on natural capital, to mobilize resources to protect our soils, our lands, and the climate.

Odile Conchou, expert on mission for biodiversity resource mobilisation and mainstreaming, at the UN Environment Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), will share insights on this international negotiation process and on the possible ways for mobilisation by financial actors.
Edward Perry, analyst for Biodiversity, Land Use and Ecosystems (BLUE) programme at the Environment Directorate of the OECD will present the recently published report on global biodiversity finance.
A moment for discussion will follow, moderated by Gautier Quéru, Head of the LDN Fund at Mirova and co-pilot of the “Natural Capital & Biodiversity” working group of Finance for Tomorrow.
