Join Penn State Shenango Campus and the e-Center @ LindenPointe on Thursday, October 22, at 5pm to 6 pm as we begin our VenturePointe, Invent Penn State Fall Speaker Series. Featured at this event is Suzanne Barbati, Executive Director of the OH WOW! The Rodger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology. When faced with the tremendous impact of Covid-19 and the subsequent closure of their museum thereby eliminating their ability to provide their see, touch, feel, experience, they immediately began creative thinking and focused on “what they can do” to solve their unforeseen problem that tested their very purpose. Hear about their unique transformation into a “museum without walls.” You will hear firsthand by Ms. Barbatti how they released their STEM SAKs, amongst other innovative offerings to bring value to their customers, partnership schools, and community during this time. In the meantime, they are planning for their Grand Re-Opening in May 2021 which will bring additional exciting experiences that are sure to delight learners of all ages. A Q & A will follow her 45 presentation.
Penn State Shenango’s VenturePointe Innovation Hub will explore how OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Science Center for Science & Technology has strategically served their community throughout the pandemic, and how they are planning for the museum’s next steps.
