with Moira Sullivan, MS, OTR/L
This Zoom webinar is offered for FIRST 5 Partners and other local professionals such as Social Workers, Home Visitors, Childcare and Preschool providers, Family Resource Center staff, and Therapeutic Service Providers. Parents are also welcome.
We plan to cover the importance of resilience, how parenting has changed over recent generations, and ways to build resilience. Building resilience by learning to work through challenges both big and small is a lifelong skill that helps children grow into healthy and happy adults.
Moira Sullivan is a pediatric occupational therapist with over 20 years experience. She teaches the pediatric clinic at her alma mater, San Jose State University. Moira and her staff at Whole Kids Therapy focus on building motor and sensory processing skills through play and strengthening relationships. By focusing on helping children understand and read other people and situations accurately and respond appropriately, children improve their social-emotional well being while at the same time building sensorimotor skills.
