Learn about worker-owned business models directly from business owners!
This Business Owners Forum will feature discussions with founding owners and current worker owners of successful worker-owned businesses. It will also explore how a transition to a worker-owned cooperative via an employee buyout was the right choice for them.
Panelists will briefly share their stories through a moderated discussion and all attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions in a live Q&A.
Following the event, attendees have priority access to free, no obligation conversations with a professional business consultant to discuss succession options for their Santa Clara business or a Santa Clara business they may know.
Business succession, business resiliency, and worker equity via a transition to a worker-owned cooperative can:
* Secure the financial benefits of founding investments and hard work on a timeline controlled by the selling owner
* Retain quality jobs and create new opportunities for employees
* Preserve the legacy of the company to continue and operate locally and within a set charter or agreement
Hosted by the City of Santa Clara in partnership with Project Equity, The Democracy at Work Institute, Sustainable Economies Law Center, and the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives.
