We are delighted to welcome Pablo Solanilla Franco, Commissioner for City Promotion, Barcelona City Council our next guest.

In a conversation led by our Chief Executive Ros Morgan, listen in as two city leaders discuss the issues that are facing urban areas today, and creative ways we can solve them.

Pablo will discuss Barcelona’s latest placemaking and public realm proposals, including their ambitious Urban Mobility Plan which aims for 81% of all journeys to be made on foot, on public transport or by bike by 2024, as well as his work in defining and promoting the city’s identity.

Pau has extensive experience in institutional and corporate affairs and has held several technical and consultancy positions in private companies and in public administrations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain and the European Parliament. He has a Master’s in Business Administration and undergraduate studies in political science. Author of various books and publications, he won first prize for “European Union and green growth” in the 2012 European Blog Contest organised by the Danish Presidency of the European Union.
