The ReIMAGINE Prostate Cancer Risk Study focuses on men with a suspicion of prostate cancer. Their disease will be investigated using an MRI-based diagnostic pathway with donations of tissue, blood and urine for biomarker analyses and the patients’ progress will be followed over the years that follow.
The study will carry out very detailed testing on prostate tissue (cancerous and benign), as well as on blood and urine in order to fully understand:
o How prostate cancer develops
o Why some prostate cancers spread to other parts of the body and others do not
o Why some prostate cancers respond to treatment and others do not
The ReIMAGINE Prostate Cancer Risk Study aims to develop a robust baseline risk stratification system for men who are referred with a suspicion of prostate cancer. Over time, through healthcare links with other clinical studies and hospitals, we will develop new and improved risk stratification models for men diagnosed with prostate cancer.
