The emergence of the SARS Co-V2 (COVID 19) pandemic has capitulated sex therapy into the online arena. Almost overnight many therapists found themselves conducting sex therapy through online platforms such as Zoom – often for the first time. This event offers an overview of key clinical, psycho-social and ethical concerns that therapists should consider when doing telesextherapy. The event includes three short presentations, opportunities for the audience to ask questions and engage with the speakers, as well as a panel discussion. Our speakers will be addressing clinical and therapeutic considerations when doing sex therapy online, what to keep in mind in term of ethics, and the real-world implications and constraints conducting teleSEXtherapy with South Africa’s marginalised communities. This webinar contributes to the current debate about teletherapy with an exclusive focus on sex therapy.
