Updates in the Medical Use of Cannabis

New York State passed the Compassionate Care Act in 2015 which allowed certified providers to prescribe cannabis for medical use. The Breast Cancer Coalition was at the forefront of public debate, advocating for cancer patients who wanted access to this botanical for management of the side effects of treatments and symptoms of disease, and for scientific researchers who were blocked from studying this plant in whole form due to regulations.
