Dr Rajkumar Venkatramani is a pediatric oncologist at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers and an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. My area of expertise is pediatric solid tumors, specifically rare cancers, and soft tissue sarcomas. Serving as the chair of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Soft tissue sarcoma committee, I play an integral role in the design and conduct of large multi-institutional clinical trials, and in setting research priorities for pediatric soft tissue sarcomas in North America. I serve as the vice chair for the COG low-risk rhabdomyosarcoma clinical trial (ARST2032) and COG high risk and relapsed Wilms tumor trial (AREN1921). At Texas Children’s Hospital, I am the director of solid and rare tumor programs and the principal investigator for the national rare tumor registry.
