BARRY WURST
Barry Wurst II is the founder of the Hawaii Film Critics Society and a film lecturer at University of Hawaii Maui College. He lives in Makawao, Maui, the town where he grew up, and received his master’s degree from Denver University. Barry has been a film critic for Maui Time Weekly since 2008 and also writes for other outlets online. His work can be found on Rotten Tomatoes. He wrote his first movie review in 1987, for “Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold.” His favorite film is “The Tree of Life.”

FAIRAI RICHMOND
Fairai Richmond is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles and currently located in Hawai'i. His short film The Tree was given the Special Achievement in Filmmaking award at the 2017 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. His ad campaign for U.S. Vets Hawaii, which deals with Mental Health, Drug Abuse and P.T.S.D. will be released in the fall of 2020. He recently directed a two part ad campaign on Systemic Racism and Prejudice for the China based sportswear company LEGENDS SPORTSWEAR. He has directed over 20 commercials and P.S.A.'s.
