Ask The Voice of Authority- Mark Baigent, Corporate Director of Regeneration and Culture, London Borough of Redbridge
Mark Baigent was recently appointed corporate director of regeneration and culture at Redbridge in north-east London and The Voice of Authority looks forward to discovering how he intends to drive housing delivery and town centre regeneration across that borough.
It's tricky to think of a London borough that hasn't benefitted from Baigent's considered approach to housing, estate renewal and enabling development since his nine years at Kensington and Chelsea in the 1990s.
Along with interim roles at Greenwich, Haringey, Tower Hamlets, Sutton and Lewisham Homes, Baigent has advised Hackney, Islington, Kingston and the City of London, as well as several boroughs outside the capital.
In that time he has become something of a figurehead for direct delivery, creating many local housing companies, the multi-borough Place scheme to deploy MMC in housebuilding, and publishing - with 3Fox - two editions of the indispensible guide "How to set up a local housing company".
So join us on 5 July at 11am as we ask Mark how his experience will shape the development of Redbridge. And keep an eye on our Twitter and LinkedIn feeds for your chance to put your own question to Mark Baigent.
