ZAM by Karen Caronna
Carolyn Faraday is an attorney representing a young black man accused of raping a drunken fourteen year old girl. He claims he is innocent. As she digs into the case, other witnesses and suspects have differing views of what really happened. As she struggles to find the truth, her own domestic relationship is falling apart.
This is an online developmental reading of Karen Caronna's full-length play, ZAM. It is sponsored and produced by THE PLAYWRIGHTS CENTER OF SAN FRANCISCO.
Following the reading, there is an brief facilitated feedback session, when the audience can share their responses to the play, to help Karen with her next round of edits.
