Every aspect of developer and enterprise software startup organizations has been touched by the Covid-19 crisis, including developer relations. DevRel teams in particular are encountering a new economic reality that demands every activity is connected to either retention or new revenue, and is far less forgiving of experiments with long-term ROI. In-person DevRel tactics, like hackathons and conferences, aren’t currently possible, which leads to a shifting landscape of available tactics and higher expectations from leadership. Dev Relations isn’t going anywhere, but it is changing rapidly and dramatically.
While some developer relations professionals may already be equipped for this new order, others are not, and we’re all in this together. In this panel discussion with speakers from HashiCorp, LaunchDarkly, Moesif, and Orbit, we’ll cover important topics for our new collective reality, including:
-Clearly attributing ROI to DevRel, and working more closely with sales and marketing;
-Efficient resource management and getting creative on a budget; and,
-Rapidly building digital communities that last and that embrace new ways to educate and engage with your community.
