Teachers, administrators, school staff, students, and parents play an important role in helping our school communities make their voices heard in every election—a role that is especially important for charter school supporters. As leaders, you can encourage efforts to guide students and parents in registering to vote.
It’s up to us to make sure the candidates know who we are. You can help your parents, teachers, and students raise their voices. We support charter schools and it’s up to us to make sure the candidates—regardless of party affiliation—know what we stand for and that we’re watching them.
The National Alliance has partnered with When We All Vote, a non-partisan non-profit co-founded by Michelle Obama, on the My School Votes initiative. The mission is to increase participation in every election and close the race and age voting gap by changing the culture around voting, harnessing grassroots energy, and through strategic partnerships to reach every American.
