In this virtual webinar, participants will be equipped with introductory information about child sexual abuse. This introductory information will include:

• Statistics and prevalence of CSA
• Intersecting social contexts
• Insight on risk factors and signs
• Intro-level Neurobiology
• Offender statistics and Groomer dynamics
• How to handle a disclosure of sexual abuse
• How to legally fulfill reporting duties as a Tennessee mandatory reporter
• Introduction to Trauma Exposure Response

Non-offending caregivers are welcome to attend; however, please note this will be a psychoeducational training with potentially triggering components.

Outside of her practice, Shantell provides trainings on a variety of topics related the experience of young victim-survivors. She enjoys training on sexual development, consent, and child sexual abuse. While her target audience includes teachers, therapists, and first responders, she will gladly train anyone who will listen! She also works as an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University, teaching graduate level courses of Human Sexuality and Internship. Outside of work Shantell loves to cook, garden, and play with her nephew and Goddaughter. She is generally most happy with a baby on her hip.
