The newest issue of the Journal of Dental Education focuses on health equity issues as they relate to dental training programs in the U.S. Researchers from the University of California San Francisco and the ADA Health Policy Institute collaborated on two papers within the issue that focus on postgraduate dental training programs. One study examines the individual, educational, and policy factors that predict which dentists pursue postgraduate dental training. The second study examines the individual, educational, community, and policy factors that predict practice patterns of postgraduate-trained dentists, including whether they work in an FQHC or participate in Medicaid. Join us for an in-depth discussion of key findings and policy implications.
As always, there will be time for audience Q&A.
