The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is hosting a public meeting and accepting public comments regarding Wolverine World Wide’s Tannery Interceptor System Response Activity Plan (ResAP) for the former Tannery site located at 181 North Main Street NE, Rockford, Kent County, Michigan. The Tannery site historically had an address of 123 North Main Street NE, Rockford, Kent County, Michigan.
Written comments are being accepted until May 22, 2021, on a Tannery Interceptor System ResAP report for the former Tannery site that Wolverine World Wide (Wolverine) is required to conduct as outlined in the February 19, 2020, Consent Decree between the State of Michigan, Algoma and Plainfield Townships, and Wolverine.
An electronic copy of the Tannery Interceptor System ResAP report can be found on the Rockford Tannery Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) website at www.michigan.gov/rockfordtannery, under the heading “Recent Accomplishments”.
A paper copy of the Tannery Interceptor System ResAP report is also available for review at the City of Rockford, Algoma Township, and Plainfield Charter Township offices.
