John C. Hamer
John Hamer’s roots go back seven generations to the early 1830s. Although raised a Mormon, as an adult he was unchurched until he encountered Community of Christ at Kirtland Temple in 2000. John is a map maker and historian whose work has illustrated dozens of books, articles, and films on the history of the Latter Day Saint movement. John has published a variety of articles and co-authored several books related to Community of Christ history. He is a former president of the John Whitmer Historical Association. Today, John serves as pastor and outreach coordinator for the Community of Christ congregation, Toronto Centre Place, located in Toronto, Canada.
