Only about 45% of disabled adults are employed. The Disability Employment Gap Public Social Partnership aims to work with employers to convey the benefits of employing disabled people and increasing employers’ confidence, awareness and capacity to do so. As part of this, Lead Scotland is holding 10 free webinars about online accessibility for employers. Each 1 hour webinar will cover a different aspect of accessibility for websites, social media, online forms and emails so you can appeal to and support disabled employees. Our advice is in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These webinars will be suitable for people involved in their organisation’s online presence (website development, social media, email newsletters, etc.) but you definitely do not need to be an IT expert.
Text format is the visual of how text looks on the page. There are four really important things we’ll consider about text format in this session – text size, font, spacing, emphasis. We’ll consider how these can help – or hinder – creating accessible digital content and spaces.
