Why States Can Already Hire Undocumented Students
Join the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education & Immigration, the UCLA Center for Immigration Law & Policy, and the Undocumented Student-Led Network for an informational webinar about the legal foundation and challenges of the proposal that state entities can hire undocumented students who do not have federal work authorization. Speakers will address the legal theory behind the proposal, prospects for challenges, implementation issues and questions, the role of students, and implications for other states. Participants will hear from legal experts as well as one of the student advocates leading the Opportunity for All Campaign. The event will conclude with a Q&A.
