James Douglas is a public international lawyer with over 8 years of experience in international criminal and international human rights law.
He currently serves as Executive Director for Irish Rule of Law International where he oversees projects relating to access to justice and transitional justice across many different jurisdictions. In addition, he acts as a legal advisor to Victim Advocates International where he assists Rohingya groups engage with different accountability mechanisms. From 2013 to 2018, he served as a lawyer and investigator with the United Nations Khmer Rouge Tribunal where he worked for the Office of the Co-Investigating Judges. He also previously held positions with OHCHR and Equitable Cambodia
