He founded the Sports Neurology Section of the AAN, and established the AAN’s annual Sports Concussion Conference. In 2016, he founded the Kutcher Clinic for Sports Neurology, a destination program for clinical care, education, and research. Dr. Kutcher has helped develop concussion policies and procedures across all levels of sport, including several professional leagues, university athletic departments, and youth sports. He is a Team Physician for US Ski and Snowboard and team physician for the US Olympic Team at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympic Games. He has also directed the NBA concussion program since 2013. Dr. Kutcher frequently speaks nationally and internationally on sports concussion. His book “Back In The Game: Why Concussion Doesn’t Have To End Your Athletic Career,” provides a real-world discussion on concussion. Teshamae Monteith Dr Teshamae Monteith is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She is the Chief of the Headache Division, program director for the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) Headache Medicine fellowship program, and Vice-Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Neurology. Dr. Monteith received her Neurology residency training at New York University, and then pursued two fellowships in headache medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and University of California, San Francisco. Dr Monteith is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Headache Society. She also serves on the editorial board for the American Migraine Foundation and the AAN Brain and Life Magazine. Dr Monteith has lectured both nationally and internationally, authored numerous publications and has provided peer review for both national and international journals. Dr. Monteith has served on several advisory boards on headache topics.
