This webinar is intended for anyone who is interested in walking or supporting others to become more active and socially connected within the Stafford Borough area.
Over the past year, many residents have been unable to leave the house during the coronavirus pandemic. Physical inactivity can increase social isolation, reduce independence and diminish physical and mental health.
National restrictions have prevented many people, particularly those who have been shielding or self-isolating, from participating in activities that support their health and wellbeing or from fully engaging with their communities.
You / the residents you support may be trying to gain or build confidence to go for a walk, or wish to explore Stafford Borough on foot and find varied, beautiful routes on your doorstep.
We have a fantastic line up of expert speakers who will take you on a journey starting right from your home environment. The webinar will be packed full of tips and project ideas if you would like to encourage others to connect through walking.
Walking can be taken at any pace; it is accessible and FREE!
The webinar will last for 1 hour and there will be a chat function for you to submit questions to the speakers throughout.
If you have any questions or problems registering, please contact the Health and Housing Strategy team at Walking@Staffordbc.gov.uk
