Domestic Violence in the Media
Join Women's Advocates for a 90-minute webinar and we will discuss:

How domestic violence and abuse is depicted in the media (movies, tv series, books, social media, etc.)

When to pause and think about how abuse is often romanticized Reflect on how mainstream media often romanticizes controlling behavior, minimizes abuse, or uses domestic violence for comedic effect- and how these depictions influence public perception of domestic violence.

Feeling free to enjoy these things, but also use it as a tool to learn and inform ourselves about domestic violence and abuse. Learn how to use media as a tool for constructive conversations about domestic violence and healthy relationships with the people in our lives.

Live closed-captioning and ASL interpretation will be available for this webinar. You will also have the opportunity to request a certificate of attendance. This event will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/c/womensadvocates
