Coffee with CAFE - Different Ages and Stages in Their Learning—All with A Common Goal of Getting ServSafe Certified
In this 20-minute presentation join three educators with diverse backgrounds and needs on how they get their students to pass the ServSafe for Managers test on their first try. Their students are from a middle school, a tech center, and a college for special needs students.

Wayne Worthley teaches 6, 7 and 8th graders at Redland Middle School in Miami. Teaching for the past 25 years he introduced ServSafe 7 years ago and has 20 students certified in ServSafe for Managers every year with near perfect pass rates. Using unique strategies, teaching tools and online resources, he has a warchest of tools to guarantee success.

Joe Kalfus teaches at EVIT, a technical center servicing 11 East Valley school districts and adults in the Phoenix Arizona area. Teaching students from a variety of schools and backgrounds, he creates a unified approach that helps his students achieve the success they need to pass the exam.

Joey Buttendorf is a post-secondary teacher at Community Kitchen Academy in Vermont. She teaches Culinary Arts but to a very unique population. Her school works with adults ranging from 18 to 55 with special needs. Through the use of tools and personal encouragement she has found success in getting her students to pass this very difficult exam.
