Jim McCormick
Jim McCormick is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAC) and highly experienced Zero Balancing practitioner. He met Zero Balancing’s founder, Dr Fritz Smith, while studying Traditional Chinese Acupuncture with Dr J. R. Worsley at Kenilworth, UK, in 1972. He began his Zero Balancing training in 1974 and in 1979 became the first teacher of ZB after Dr Smith. Jim teaches Zero Balancing to students around the world, including in Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Finland, as well as in The UK and the USA. Jim McCormick has woven his 50 years of experience in alternative medicine into this book in which he explains the unique principles behind Zero Balancing and illustrates them with detailed case histories. Jim is known for creating a caring and creative environment, where participants feel safe to be their full selves, while exploring new ideas and skills. He presents information clearly, warmly and with good humor and joy.
Elizabeth Larkam
Elizabeth is a pioneer of the Pilates Method Alliance ® initiative Heroes in Motion ® . She was awarded the Medal of the Danish Society of Military Medicine in recognition of her efforts to improve the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers. She is also a Feldenkrais® practitioner and a Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® instructor. She has 48 programs on Pilates Anytime and eight on fusionpilatesedu.com. She is a Balanced Body Master Instructor and Mentor. Elizabeth has participated in eight dissection courses taught by master dissectors Carla Stecco, Gill Hedley and Todd Garcia. She taught the movement component of dissection courses hosted by Tom Myers and by Balanced Body Pilates. Elizabeth is a participant in the Fascial Net Plastination Project, sponsored by the Fascia Research Society at Guben Plastinarium. Elizabeth is author of 'Fascia in Motion: Fascia-focused movement for Pilates (Handspring Publishing 2017).
