San Franciscans for Urban Nature Present:

"The Incomplete Arch"

A showcase of how light pollution affects our night, and discussion of how we can get back what we lost with community mitigation efforts.

Featured Speaker: Shreenivasan Manievannan (Shreeni)

Shreeni is an astro landscape photographer associated with the International Dark-Sky Association (www.darksky.org/) as an official delegate since 2014.

Shreeni has won several awards for his photographs and has been published with reputable organizations such as GoPro, BBC, Nat Geo, Earth Day Network etc. He also conducts photo workshops, and talks about nature and Dark Sky conservation.

San Franciscans for Urban Nature (SFUN) is a new group of residents from all over San Francisco who advocate for the preservation and growth of nature in urban spaces. We support Golden Gate Park as San Francisco's major landscape park, a historic gem that is a unique and vital resource for plants and wildlife as well as a place for people to experience nature within our urban environment. As such, we are very concerned about the installation and operation of the Observation Wheel in the Music Concourse.
