On February 10th, the Governor's Office of Economic Development, World Trade Center Utah, and the Mexican Consul General’s office are hosting a seminar featuring Ambassador Alfredo Miranda, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Mexico in the United States of America, and Steve Alley, US Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs. Utah companies interested in doing business in Mexico are encouraged to attend and to learn about the opportunities that exist to export to and to grow their businesses in Mexico. The event will also feature a US Commercial Service market briefing and time for Q&A with the panelists.

With 26 years of experience helping U.S. companies expand into new markets, and promoting inward investment into the United States, Steve has a track record of building high-performing teams that meet or exceed organizational goals, and he has been recognized for his teams’ outstanding morale. Prior to his current position, Steve served as the Regional Senior Commercial Officer for Western and Southern Europe (2016-2020) based at the American embassy in Paris, France where he led 57 U.S. foreign commercial service officers and locally-hired specialists in the promotion and protection of U.S. commercial interests in Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. Ambassador Alfredo Miranda (Deputy Chief of Mission @Embassy of Mexico in United States) Ambassador Alfredo Miranda is the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Mexico in United States of America. His previous assignments were as Ambassador of Mexico in Saudi Arabia and non-resident to Bahrein, Oman and Yemen (2017-2019) and Ambassador in Ethiopia, Djibouti and Permanent Observer to the African Union (2012-2016). He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico in 1982, where he worked in the Departments of Treaties; for Latin America and the Caribbean; and of American Regional Organisms and Mechanisms.
