Mobilizing, Mailing, and Defending our Votes in 2020
Are you worried about the safety of voting during a pandemic --for yourself, your family, and for your community? Does the president’s ongoing effort to undermine faith in the election’s outcome by disparaging “mail-in voting” and holding back needed funding for the United States Postal Service make you nervous?

Well, join the club -- you’re not the only one. That is why we have organized a DIY webcast on Mobilizing, Mailing, and Defending our Votes in 2020 -- with experts across the country who are already working overtime to uplift, defend, and make our democracy work.

Please join:

Suzy Smith -- co-founder of Vote From Home 2020. She is a lead provider of vote from home information nationwide.

Eduardo Sainz -- director of the Arizona branch of Mi Familia Vota. He also works nationally to inform and mobilize Spanish speaking and Latinx voters.

Leigh M. Chapman -- director of the Voting Rights Program of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, an historic bulwark of voting rights defense since its founding in the 1950s.

Gabriela D. Lemus, Ph.D. -- President of the Mi Familia Vota Education Fund is a leader of the Center for Common Ground’s “Reclaim our Vote” Campaign.

Moderator, Ted Lewis, has been a leader in Global Exchange’s international democracy and human rights work since 1994.

Our guests will discuss context but their focus will be on specific tactics and web based tools you can use to help people vote. They will even show us how to use some of them via screen share. We will also have a practical update on United States Postal Service readiness and what needs to be done about it immediately. Finally, we’ll give you specific information on red flag issues in key states.
