UNECE high-level launch event of XB project on
24 February 2022 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET

This online event will provide an opportunity to discuss existing developments and challenges in the area of global and regional value chains in the Eurasian region and suggest directions for the new UNECE two-year XB project on “Fostering Resilient, Diversified and Sustainable Value Chains in the Eurasian Region after COVID-19”. Opening will be made by Mr Dmitry Mariyasin, Deputy Executive Secretary, UNECE; representatives from the Eurasian Economic Union member States and the Eurasian Economic Commission (TBC).

Following the opening, the discussion will benefit from the reflections by:
• Mr Robert Koopman, Director, ERSD, WTO;
• Mr James Zhan, Director, Investment and Enterprise, UNCTAD;
• Ms Polina Tonkikh, Director-General, WTO Expertise Center, Moscow; and
• Dr Ben Shepherd, Developing Trade Consultants.

The discussion will be moderated by Ms Elisabeth Tuerk, Director, Economic Cooperation and Trade, UNECE.
