Ottawa Network for BPD, Public Lecture: The Longitudinal Course of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), by Dr. Mary C. Zanarini (Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital)
Dr. Zanarini will discuss findings of her research in which she has followed a cohort of 400 inpatients with BPD or another personality disorder for a quarter of a century. Her work has led to the increasingly accepted view that BPD is a good prognosis diagnosis as sustained remissions are very common and recurrences are relatively rare. She will also discuss the value of a web-based psychoeducation program and positive psychology in group therapy for BPD.
This Public Lecture is free of charge and open to all.
