Led by Siobhan Maclean with input from both Prospera Tedam and Jo Finch
Current ways of working have created a range of challenges for practice education. Having acted as a practice educator for five students undertaking what were referred to as ‘virtual’ placements Siobhan has developed a clear idea about what works and what is particularly challenging. In this session she will draw on her practice experience and share a range of thoughts about the positives and negatives of contemporary working in relation to practice education. Siobhan will explore some of the issues around values and ethics which have been particularly challenging exploring the concept of ‘moral injury’ and how this may have something to offer us in practice learning in the future. This will be a very practical session with ideas for practice.
