George Lakey: Lessons for Today from a Lifetime on Nonviolent Activism

George is a queer Quaker activist and master storyteller who will discuss his involvement in nonviolent struggles for peace, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, labor justice, and the environment and lessons for us today. He will reference his new memoir, “Dancing with History: A Life for Peace and Justice” and his book, "How We Win: A Guide to Nonviolent Direct Action."

The event will be held in-person (at Homewood Friends Meeting, 3107 N. Charlest Street, Baltimore MD) and via Zoom. PLEASE REGISTER to attend either in-person or via Zoom.

Masks are required while attending the event in-person. They can be removed while eating or drinking for the reception afterwards.

Please consider joining the Baltimore Black Lives Matter Interfaith Coalition Rally before George's talk from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in front of Homewood Friends Meeting House.
