Living rivers and clean water are vital to all life. Flowing, healthy rivers nourish communities, connect ecosystems, transport nutrients, and provide corridors and habitat for fish and wildlife. Unfortunately, living rivers are in peril throughout the American West. These essential arteries of life do not have a right to their own water and living rivers are under attack by outdated, unsustainable water policies, failing infrastructure, overuse, and climate change. To make matters more dire, under the Trump administration, federal agencies have removed fundamental environmental protections for clean water, native species and ecosystems, and public participation mandates for impacted communities by rolling back the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act. Joining WildEarth Guardians' Executive Director John Horning and Wild Rivers Program Director Jen Pelz for this WildEarth Webinar will be special guest Kelly Hunter Foster, Senior Attorney at Waterkeeper Alliance.
