Impact of Increased Use of Substances and Mental Health

This February Webinar will highlight the essential DSM V-TR criteria for substance related disorders, how social media apps impact increases in substance use and mental health, and key statistics.

Beakie Colon Rivera is a dually licensed, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Abuse Professional in Washington and North Carolina. She is the Co-Occurring Behavioral Health Director at Consejo Counseling, where she is working to develop a co-occurring program. She received her Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Family and a certificate in Substance Abuse from Fayetteville State University. She aided in creating a Suboxone program to work with clients suffering from the opioid pandemic and has primarily worked with the Hispanic Community.
