We are thrilled to welcome you to the first session of the MESA Webinars, a platform to amplify the voices of malaria-endemic researchers!
Focusing on social sciences, the first webinar will feature:
- Professor Evelyn Korkor Ansah from the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana: "Listening to the Community: Implementation of interventions for control/elimination of malaria"
- Thuan Thi Nguyen, from the National Institute of Malaria, Parasitology and Entomology (NIMPE) in Vietnam and the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Belgium: "Understanding malaria persistence: A mixed-methods study on social factors limiting the effectiveness of malaria elimination strategy in South-Central Vietnam".
During the session, both researchers will talk about lessons learned in solving problems in malaria from a health system and equity perspective, highlighting the acceptability, effectiveness and sustainability of malaria intervention strategies among vulnerable populations.
