Continuing with our Summer Garden Spotlight Series, we welcome Akeila Forrester of ‘Cooking with Keeks’. In this class we will be using herbs & veggies harvested from our gardens to make a simple & delicious seasonal dinner salad! My name is Akeila Forrester I am first generation American by way of Guyana in South America. I come from a family where food is largely celebrated & used for all things, to bring happiness and to cure sadness and sicknesses! I was born and raised in Boston, MA and went to culinary school at CCA in San Francisco in 2008. I fell in love with the Bay Area and I haven’t left since! I have worked all over the Bay at various restaurants and Cooperate Dining facilities. My expertise ranges from fine dining to homestyle cooking and as of late I have really dialed into the garden to table aspect of cooking. There is something so magical about planting seeds, nurturing them daily, watching them grow and turning them into a delicious meal!
