Nearly three decades after its signing, new questions have arisen about Russian and Iranian compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). To discuss the treaty's significance and continued viability, FPRI has composed a panel of key former senior and working-level representatives who participated in finalizing the CWC and establishing the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Panelists will discuss game-changing scientific and technological developments that impact the treaty, the status of the international norm against the use of chemical weapons, and the level of current Russian and Iranian compliance. FPRI's Aaron Stein will moderate this conversation. He will be joined by former negotiators Lisa Bronson, Thomas Cataldo, Ronald Lehman, Joshua Segal, Ralf Trapp, and John Walker.
