Caring for Kids: Parenting after transition
Living with the stress of military service after leaving the forces can be very tough. Trying to be a parent as well is even tougher. And sometimes it doesn't go so well: Parents can feel distanced from kids, kids can start to show that they are not coping either, usually through changes in their behaviour, mood, school work or how they relate to others. This Webinar will talk about how post-transition stress and trauma can cause a wedge between parents and their children and some at-home ideas for starting to reconnect. Information presented will apply to all children though will focus on children under 12 years.
